Representative Les Fossel is serving his first term in the Maine House of Representatives representing District 53, which includes Alna, Pittston, Dresden, and Wiscasset. He serves on the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee On Insurance & Financial Services.
Rep. Fossel is a graduate of Lake Forest College (Illinois), where he studied sociology. He is a contractor and the owner of Restoration Resources, which specializes in historic preservation. Les has served on the Alna Board of Selectmen, the Capitol Planning Commission, the Alna School Board, the Commission for Maine’s Future and the Union 48 School Board. Les enjoys hiking and camping. As a board member of the Morris Farm Trust, in Wiscasset, he is dedicated to preserving Maine’s outdoor heritage.
Rep. Fossel and his wife, Merry, have a family that includes two sons, a step-son and a step-daughter.
